requested this. I made a custom brush for the pearls on this because I am lazy:
It was super easy to make, but I'll just upload this brush file and tell you what I did:
1. Download the brush and put it wherever you put your photoshop brushes, and then load it. It's just one brush that will make pearls and beads at 19 px.
2. Set your foreground and background colors to something similar. I made this brush jitter the colors a bit, so if you want to make a happy candy necklace or something, you can put blue and pink, but two similar shades of cream will do for pearls.
3. Draw your lines with the pearl brush on a new layer. I made most of mine with the pen tool so I could get a nice arc on them because pearls drape. I also made three layers for the pearls so I could have them in the fore, middle, and background of the picture, but you don't have to do that.
4. If you want to shade your pearls real quick and give them more dimension, select the pearls layer and edit the blending options. Set it to drop a shadow if you want, but that won't look good unless they're supposed to be showing up against a flat picture. Mostly, you'll want to select "Bevel and Emboss", set the structure to "Emboss", and mess with the size and values under shading until you like how it looks.
BAM. It's so easy I feel foolish making a tutorial about it, but here you go. NEVER MAKE DOTS AGAIN!
I don't want any credit for this. It's ridiculous. But feel free to show me your pictures if you want
